Comcast Foundation boosts local groups

The Norwich-based Arc New London County was one of 20 organizations throughout New England and nine in Connecticut to receive Comcast Foundation grants totaling $434,200 last year.
The grants are given to help expand digital literacy, promote service and mentor tomorrow’s leaders.
The Arc New London County received $10,000, while Hartford-based Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, which is expanding into southeastern Connecticut, got $30,000.
