City of Groton firefighters, Ledge Light to offer medical emergency training
The City of Groton Fire Department and the Ledge Light Health District Medical Reserve Corps will host a free program to teach skills needed by bystanders in medical emergencies to keep a person alive until professional help arrives.
The two programs on May 31 and June 13, both starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Groton Municipal Building, will include training in skills like calling 911, protecting injured people from further harm, stopping bleeding and providing comfort.
