Garden association receives Dominion grant
The Eastern Connecticut Community Gardens Association recently received a $4,000 grant from the Dominion Foundation to support school gardens in Groton, New London and Waterford and other community projects in the county.
“We appreciate the on-going generous support of the Dominion Foundation, allowing us to continue our work of encouraging schools, social service organizations, and individuals to create community gardens,” ECCGA Director Sally Halsey said in a release. “Our mission is to support gardens in order to create healthful food choices for all residents and to increase food security in the region.”
