The Salem Lions Club recently honored two graduating seniors and new officers at its annual scholarship and induction dinner on June 28.

Isaac Tomblin, who will be attending Georgia Tech, and Luke Wojcik, who will be attending a preparatory school before moving onto one of the military academies, were recognized for their academic success and volunteer work.

They each received a $2,000 scholarship.

The 2018-2019 Salem Lions officers were also inducted at the meeting. Bill Martin was named head of the membership committee, Will Evanson was named secretary, and George Zeigler was named treasurer. John Houchin and Dave Kennedy were named 1st and 2nd vice presidents, respectively, and Len Giambra was named president.

The club closed the meeting by donating $1,200 to the Salem Volunteer Fire Department to help install rain gutters on their new building.
