Waterford police investigating unattended death at Oakdell Motel

Waterford — Waterford police on Friday said they are investigating the unattended death of a 63-year-old male at the Oakdell Motel.

Police said they received a report of an unattended death at the hotel about 10:50 p.m. Thursday. Patrol units and the Investigative Services Division responded and found the deceased man, who remained unidentified as of Friday.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner also responded, with police awaiting determinations on the cause and time of death.

Lt. Tim Silva said police do not think foul play was involved; nor was there any threat to the public.

Police also notified the state's attorney's office, which Silva said was standard with any unattended death.
