Michaela Foley of Groton recently published her first novel, a book she started writing at the age of 11.

Foley, 14, spent three years writing, editing and illustrating her book, “The Dragons of Darmoore.” The 112-page novel follows three dragons who quest to save their homeland after a mysterious prophesy puts them in danger.

The book is available on the self-publishing website Lulu.com. Foley is currently working on the sequel and spends her free time sharing other writing, drawings and even cupcake recipes on her blog “Living Creatively 2018.”
