    Friends and Neighbors: Three Rivers honors nursing graduates with pinning ceremony

    Twenty-seven nursing students were recognized last month in the 52nd nursing pinning ceremony held by Three Rivers Community College. The ceremony marks the completion of the students’ degree program and the beginning of their nursing careers, upon completion of the licensing examination to become a registered nurse.

    The Three Rivers nursing program has a 91 percent average on the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses and a 99 percent job placement.

    Local graduates include Lauren Limauge of East Lyme, Kerry Thornton of Gales Ferry, Yira Colon of Groton, Stephanie Stearns of Mystic, Sydney Dubreuil and Melissa Keegan of Niantic, Vickie Han of Oakdale, Jaime Cleary of Quaker Hill, Claire Nortz of Salem, and Valentina Matikaynen of Waterford.

    Regional graduates include Lindsay Thompson of Brooklyn, Kimberly Platt of Canterbury, Jillian Bellman and Alyson Dziavit of Chaplin, Samantha David of Clinton, Erika Bourgoin of Colchester, Sarah-Ann Kotecki and Julia Rubin of Griswold, Caleb Holbrook of Hebron, Deirdre Dillon of Lebanon, Marjory Coeur of New Britain, Sydney Schukei of North Franklin, Melissa Bogue and Michael Welch of Norwich, Patricia Couture of Sterling, and Zackery Cowan and Kathryn Wyland of Voluntown.
