The 35th annual Nick Woviotis Memorial Scholarship Award will be presented on May 24 at the Italian Dramatic Club on Goshen Street in New London.

This award is a continuing scholarship to a college-bound high school senior in financial need who, during his/her scholastic career, has distinguished himself both academically and athletically by providing leadership and inspiration for his/her teammates and classmates. The recipient will be receiving a $2,500 scholarship and will also receive $1,000 each year during the remainder of his/her college career, making the total scholarship award $5,500. To date, scholarship awards in excess of $250,000 have been granted including $14,000 in 2018. The recipient must reside in New London, Waterford or East Lyme.
