North Stonington Garden Club honored

The North Stonington Garden Club recently received four awards and citations from the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut for its ongoing programs.

The club received first prize for its “Going Native”-themed yearbook and a Youth Award of Excellence for its community education programs in North Stonington schools. The club also received two Certificates of Achievement for its civic gardens and its pollinator programs.

The club’s annual plant sale will be held Saturday, May 11, at Wheeler High School, with annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs and native plants for sale. For more information, visit nsgardenclub.org.
