Norwich — High school students attended the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut's fifth annual career fair Friday at Three Rivers Community College.

Students from 11 area high schools attended the event, where they could learn about opportunities from a wide variety of area business and industry representatives.

The event was designed as a career exploration for the students, but employers with job opportunities for 16- to 18-year-old students were welcome to share that information.

In addition to the exhibit tables, a number of breakout sessions were held with representatives of various career tracks, who talked at greater length about their fields.

Sponsors included the Eastern Advance Manufacturing Alliance, Yale New Haven Health, Morgan Corporation, O&G Industries and Mystic Aquarium.
