Norwich police to hold promotion ceremony Friday

Norwich — Veteran Norwich police Detective Kyle Besse will be promoted to sergeant in a 3 p.m. ceremony Friday at Norwich City Hall, police Chief Patrick Daley announced Wednesday.

Besse has been a member of the Norwich Police Department since 2007 and currently is assigned to the detective division.

The ceremony is open to the public.
