Sen. Murphy to visit downtown New London Tuesday

New London — U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy will join Mayor Michael Passero and other local officials for a walking tour of the downtown on Tuesday.

The aim of the tour is to highlight economic development and small businesses in New London, according to a statement from Murphy’s office. Murphy will use the tour to gather feedback that he can take back to Washington on how he can better advocate for local businesses in Connecticut.

Murphy's tour begins at 11:15 a.m. at the Garde Arts Center at 325 State St. and makes stops at businesses along the way to Bank Street.
