    Youth dancers selected for Community Dance Ensemble

    The Community Dance Ensemble has announced its lineup for the 2019-2020 season. The Quaker Hill-based group, under directors Maggie and Nancy Dennis, performs throughout New England for community and charity groups. For more information, visit communitydanceensemble.org.

    Dancers in the company include Hadley Huebner, Natalie Kohrs-Monroe, Emily Peckham, Hayley Peckham, Megan Banach and Sarah Banach of Ledyard; Bailey Barousse and Maggie Folmer of Quaker Hill; Alexa Beams of Colchester; Phoebe Bowen and Molly Gans-Pomerantz of Mystic; Beatrice Cox of Pawcatuck; Nicole Doty and Joelle Redman of Groton; Lana Green of East Lyme; Madilynn Gruss of Waterford; Amélie Kydd of New London; and Chenin Lee of Oakdale.

    Local artists featured in Boston show

    The "Copley Masters" exhibition features 30 nationally recognized Copley artist members who, as a result of their artistic excellence, have achieved the status of Copley Master at the Copley Society of Art. The exhibition opens with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Co|So Gallery, 158 Newbury St. in Boston.

    The Copley Society of Art, America's oldest non-profit arts organization, was founded in 1879. Co|So provides artists with a gallery for exhibiting and selling their work and a platform for engaging and educating the community. For information, visit copleysociety.org.
