    East Lyme to hold voter registration session on Tuesday

    East Lyme -- The Registrars of Voters will hold a voter registration session at the Registrars’ Office in the East Lyme Community Center at 35 Society Road, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The purpose of the session is to register new voters entitled to vote in the Nov. 5 municipal election.

    The cut-off date for voter registration in person or by mail for the general election is Oct. 29. New voter registration cards must be postmarked by that date and received by Nov. 4. Online registrations must be filed by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 29.

    A limited voter registration session will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, for those seeking to vote in the general election, but whose age, citizenship, or residence qualifications are obtained after the registration cutoff date.

    Voting on Election Day will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    District 1 will vote at East Lyme High School. Districts 2 and 3 will vote at the East Lyme Community Center.
