Kindness in Real Life: Memorial fund benefits disabled

Northstar Wealth Partners and High Hopes Therapeutic Riding have announced the formation of the Glenn “Chip” Dahlke Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Dahlke had been in the investment business for over 40 years, most recently with Northstar Wealth Partners, with offices in Old Saybrook, West Hartford and Shelton. He was also one of the driving forces behind the creation of High Hopes’ Holiday Market, now entering its ninth year, as well as the Lyme Farmers Market.

“Northstar Wealth Partners was delighted to choose High Hopes as a vehicle for honoring the memory of our colleague,” Theresa Donatelli, partner and wealth adviser at Northstar, said in a release.

“Chip was a vibrant force within our community,” Sara Qua, High Hope’s development director, said. “This announcement enables three forces — the legacy of Chip Dahlke, High Hopes and Northstar Wealth Partners — to come together in a highly impactful way.”

Endowed scholarships allow those with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities to benefit from ongoing equine-assisted activities and therapies. This means financial circumstances are not a barrier to equine therapy.

For information about endowed scholarships in Dahlke’s memory, contact Donatelli at tdonatelli@nstarwp.com or Qua at squa@highhopestr.org.

Credit card donations may be made online at highhopestr.org/give under the “donation in honor” option or by calling (860) 434-1974 ext. 122.
