Making Halloween a little brighter
Like many rural streets in Ledyard, Chriswood Trace doesn’t have streetlights, making for a precarious trick-or-treating situation come Halloween night. This year, resident Matt Natale came up with a solution: setting up his own lights on the darkest parts of the street.
“We only did a short section and the feedback from our neighbors was positive,” he said. “The plan is to extend it much further down Chriswood next year.”
Neighbor David Luke said trick-or-treating on the street went well, spared by the rain and wind during the busiest parts of the night, and Natale’s setup definitely brightened up the dark street.
“He’s a great neighbor, and what he did in our neighborhood was pretty impressive,” he said.
