Garden club member recognized by state group

Longtime Ledyard Garden Club member Roberta Levandoski recently received the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut’s Civic Development Tribute Award. She was honored at a luncheon in October.

Levandoski’s work includes helping establish the Ledyard Libraries’ seed library this spring and leading the garden club’s projects at the Bill Library and the Nathan Lester House, where she also coordinated the 19th annual Greenway Awards and the house’s Bluebird House Trail.

A certified master gardener, she also serves on the Ledyard Conservation Commission and the Ledyard Beautification Committee.
