Catherine Kolnaski STEAM Magnet School Invites Groton families to info sessions

Groton — The Groton School district said in a news release that Catherine Kolnaski STEAM Magnet School is now accepting applications for the 2020-21 school year and will be hosting two upcoming tours and information sessions.

The district is inviting Groton families with a student entering kindergarten through fifth grade next school year to attend to learn more about the school and its curriculum themed around science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

    Sessions will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23; 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22; and 10 to 11a.m. Thursday, March 26.

"Groton’s intra-district magnet schools, including CKMS, are open to families who live within the boundaries of Groton Public Schools," the release states. "They serve neighborhood children districted to attend that school and also accept magnet students from across Groton. There are no fees or tuition for Groton residents and in-district bus transportation is provided. Admission will be by lottery this spring."

Families planning to attend can call the school at (860) 449-5612. The school is located at 500 Poquonnock Road. More information is available at bit.ly/CKMSGroton.
