Sen. Somers to host 'Community Conversations'

State Sen. Heather Somers, R-Groton, will host four upcoming community events, including in Groton and Stonington, to update taxpayers and answer questions about government.

• Somers will host “Casework On Your Corner” from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Plainfield Senior Center, 482 Norwich Road. Area residents with questions regarding the Department of Motor Vehicles, social services, medical benefits, taxes or other issues are welcome to attend.

• Somers will host a “Community Conversation” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Griswold Town Hall, 28 Main Street, Jewett City.

• Somers will host a “Community Conversation” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, at the Groton Library, 52 Newtown Road.

• Somers will host a “Community Conversation” in Stonington from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, at COMO, 28 Cutler St.

The events are free and open to the public.
