The new Abigail Hinman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its inaugural meeting at the Captain Daniel Packer Inne on Feb. 23. The chapter, to be based in Stonington, was named after Abigail Hinman, a local Revolutionary War legend who saved several houses in New London during the siege by Benedict Arnold.
