Waterford publisher announces book of late mother's poetry

Judy Ricketts-White of Waterford, publisher of Mecate Press, recently released “Count Me Never Lost,” a book of her late mother’s poetry.

The book contains a variety of works by Elizabeth M. Ricketts, a journalist and high school English teacher who served as the Florida state poet laureate and was published in the New York Times. Her work explores love and loss, birth and death, and the human spirit through her own experiences. The book is available online through Amazon or at mecatepress.com.

“My mom and I worked on the book before she passed away, but we never quite got it finished,” Ricketts-White said in a release. “It’s wonderful to see the dream of publishing her work finally coming true.”
