Churches offer prayers for Norwich, New London hospitals

Norwich — As hospitals deal with the evolving coronavirus pandemic, they have been getting some spiritual support from area churches.

Pastor Joel Rivera of Get Wrapped Church in New London led members of his congregation and members of Norwich's Castle Church in a community prayer Friday in the parking lot of Backus Hospital in Norwich.

Rivera said the group held a prayer Wednesday at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London and will hold more prayer gatherings at other area hospitals in the future.
