Developers donate $5,000 to combat hunger in New London

New London — Developers Irwin and Robert Stillman on Thursday presented a $5,000 donation to the New London Area Food Pantry.

The donation will fund the creation of prepackaged relief kits for New London families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and will include pasta, cereal, soup, rice, flour and other essential foodstuffs.

The donation comes during a time when food banks are under incredible monetary strain due to the global pandemic.

“We wanted to do something good during these uncertain times,” Irwin Stillman said. “We have an office in Westport, Connecticut. Connecticut is part of our family. As third generation builders and developers, we understand how important family is and we wanted to do something to help Connecticut families get healthy meals during this crisis.”
