Getting a helping hand in Groton

Groton — AvaLynn Boeckel, 12, has been learning to skateboard at the Groton Skatepark in Sutton Park.

She's been getting a helping hand from her father, Joe.

She said she started learning to skateboard three days ago and has been practicing almost every day this week, even in the rain.
