Norwich police to host public chat session Saturday

Norwich — City police will hold a "coffee and a chat" at 10 a.m. Saturday at Foundry 66 at 66 Franklin St. downtown.

Participants will be able to discuss various issues with officers, who will hang out for coffee and further conversation following the formal session. The event is the second in the series, the first held in mid-June following several protests after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis beneath the pressed knee of a police officer later charged with murder.

Norwich police plan to continue the chat series with different formats as suggested by participants.
