Poetry in a Pandemic: The eyes have it
Like never before the eyes explore
Searching around for changes galore
They’re grey and blue and brown and green
And all the rest that’s in between
Wary and hopeful, scared and sad
Looking for good, bypassing the bad
With lack of smiles and frowns to show
What lies behind is friend or foe?
So watch the eyes and glean their meaning
Is it fear or just a greeting?
Smiling eyes are best to see
Shining out from you and me!
