Wide Awakes flotilla
Participants in a flotilla, organized by a local branch of the Wide Awakes movement, move up the Mystic River in the area of the Noank Town Dock on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020.
Around 15 boats, from motor boats and sail boats to kayaks, participated in the event that moved from the Noank Town Dock up the Mystic River through downtown Mystic and back. The event was focused on getting out the message to vote while participants also flew pride and BLM flags. Wide Awakes is a national artist group working to get out the vote and agitate for change.
