In the Times: A new way to read the newspaper

People are enjoying their newest Norwich-area newspaper, and we thank you for all your testimonials about how much you are loving the paper. Now we are offering one more bonus: the opportunity for sharing your hometown newspaper with others outside our circulation area.

Simply type in our url into your browser: www.thenorwichtimesct.com, then look to the right below our contact information and click on the bar that says “Read The Norwich Times E-Edition.”

You will then see a digital facsimile of the newspaper for the latest week; we do not yet have archiving capabilities to look at papers from previous weeks. The digital paper has the same content and advertising as does our print edition.

Residents in Norwich, Sprague, Lisbon, Bozrah, Franklin, Griswold, Voluntown and their various villages will be happy to know that the same Norwich Times website can be used to access other Norwich-area news and sports stories printed in The Day.

I also want to note that some people are telling me they are not getting The Norwich Times. So I encourage anyone who misses us to check out the digital edition for that week but also jot me a note at times@thenorwichtimesct.com to let me know you want to be added to our mailing list. So far, everyone who has let me know (mostly through Facebook) are now happily getting the paper.

Thanks for reading the Times! Please jot me a note at l.howard@theday.com to let me know how we are doing and offer story ideas. We’d also love to start a local feature with people sending us photographs they are taking!

Lee Howard edits The Norwich Times and eight other weekly papers with a total circulation of more than 100,000.
