    Taking Care of Business: Jewett City Savings names three corporators

    Jewett City Savings Bank has announced the election of three new corporators: Graeme Everson, Bruce Prescott and Earl Rosebrooks.

    The announcement came after the bank’s 147th annual meeting held virtually on Aug. 19.

    Everson, a resident of Moosup, has been the owner and operator of Mercer Monument Works in Plainfield since 2012. He is a veteran of the Connecticut National Guard and has served on the board of Moosup Little League and as chairman of the Sterling Inlands Wetland Commission. Along with his wife, Kristin, he has also helped organize the Mercer Toy Drive to provide holiday gifts to at-risk children in foster care.

    Prescott. a resident of Westerly, owns Zoe & Company, Professional Bra Fitters, and several investment properties. An active Chamber of Commerce and downtown business associations participant in Westerly, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, he helped support the ATHENA Scholarship program for youths and was awarded a Pawcatuck Good Neighbor Award for his long-term dedication to the “Weekender Backpack” food program for children.

    Rosebrooks, owner and General Manager of Fluid Coating Technology Inc. in Putnam, is a North Grosvenordale resident who was inducted into the 1952 Society of the Arc of Quinebaug Valley and was a recipient of the 2017 Paul Harris Fellow Award from The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. In 2020, he received the Business Leader of the Year award from the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce.
