Groton — The Town of Groton has issued a notice reminding people that the town has an ordinance requiring property owners and tenants to remove snow from a sidewalk along the street in front of their property.

"The town does remove snow on certain heavily traveled sidewalks leading to schools and town facilities," the notice says. "The snow removal in these areas (is) completed as soon as staffing and time allow."

The ordinance does not apply to the City of Groton or Groton Long Point.
