Coast Guard Band does leg work for Biden's virtual inaugural parade
New London — The United States Coast Guard Band has already marched in President Joe Biden's inaugural parade ... sort of.
The band was marching across the Washington Parade Field at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London on Tuesday to make a recording to be included in the virtual inaugural parade for Biden.
The band was recorded marching across the parade ground several times, at different angles, as well as waving and cheering, to be edited into the final product. A recording of the band playing "Semper Paratus," the Coast Guard anthem, will be synched to the marching video to be included in the parade.
