Memories: Shannon Corner

Main Street and Shannon Corner are pictured in 1947. On the left is the Norwich Savings Society building. Next is the Wauregan Hotel, with Carroll Cut Rate on the ground floor. Moving right is Perkins Candy store, and Metropolitan Chain store. The diesel engine bus passing by always left a distinct odor in the air.
