Poetry in a Pandemic: A mask

No touch I’ve felt in quite a while
and when I’m out I see no smile
a mask it hides all smiles you see
half faceless strides humanity
Covid’s here and it’s a shame
while mankind points and tries to blame
a simple thing it is to wear
a mask that helps to clear the air
so let your smile shine in your eyes
a mask is nothing to despise
