Two students have been recognized as April Students of the Month at St. Bernard School in Montville: Liberty Frechette, seventh-grade, and Zachary Kobyluck, ninth-grade.

Students are nominated for this honor by their teachers for exhibiting the Xaverian values of humility, trust, compassion, simplicity and zeal.

Liberty, 12, of Montville, participates in Tri-M national music honor society, Student Council and track. Outside of school, she is involved in cheer, gymnastics, CCD and Girl Scouts.

Her teachers say although Liberty came to St. Bernard later in the school year, she has adapted very quickly to the school environment and is willing to stick up for others.

Zachary, 14, also of Montville, plays tennis and basketball. Outside of school, he participates in the CT Wolves AAU Basketball league, and CCD.

Teachers describe Zachary as a polite and hard-working student who is kind and respectful to his classmates, always willing to lend a helpful hand.
