Rep. Howard to hold virtual forum Monday on proposed zoning legislation

State Rep. Greg Howard, R-Stonington, will co-host a virtual forum Monday at 7 p.m. on the impact of pending legislation on local zoning, land use and affordable housing.

The forum will be shown on Facebook Live @CTHouseGOP.

In announcing the forum, Howard said he is co-hosting it with two other legislators due to the "growing talk at the state Capitol about taking away control of local zoning."

The lawmakers are expected to discuss bills such as HB 6611 (Fair Share Housing), SB 1024 (Insiders Bill), HB 6107 (State Enabled Zoning CGS 8-2) and SB 172 (Statewide Property Tax).
