Hadassah chapter donates to Waterford Country School

Dozens of items were brought to Waterford Country School on May 20 to be distributed to children in their emergency shelter, foster care and residential program.

Among the items brought by the local chapter of Hadassah were new and used backpacks, duffel bags and small suitcases, as well as luggage tags donated by Klingerman Travel, Marc Bokoff Travel and Hadassah members.

Ten items were to be brought to the state Department of Children and Families once their offices were open to the public.

The Country Day School noted in a “thank you” letter to the Jewish organization: “We really appreciate your generous gift of 40 assorted duffle bags, suitcases, and backpacks to the kids at Waterford Country School. Our kids in Foster Care and our Residential Program will be excited to receive them.”
