East Lyme — The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection closed Rocky Neck State Park beach on Tuesday after high levels of indicator bacteria was found in the water during routine water quality testing after heavy rain earlier this week.
The beach reopened Wednesday after a second round of tests came back indicating normal bacteria levels. Swimming and other water activities can resume as normal, DEEP said.
