Garde to host viewing of Olympic basketball game
The Garde Arts Center in New London has been granted approval by NBC to livestream Thursday's Olympic women's basketball game between Puerto Rico and Belgium.
India Pagan, who played for New London High School from 2014 to 2017 and is a graduate of the Marine Science Magnet High School of Southeastern Connecticut, plays for Puerto Rico. She played 8 minutes in Tuesday night's loss to China. A 6-foot-1 forward, she has scored 1,000 points at Stony Brook, where she will be a graduate student in the fall. She is the daughter of Carmen and Moises Pagan, who are Puerto Rican natives.
Doors at the Garde will open at 8 p.m. for a meet and greet, with the game scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. The event is free.
