Kindness in Real Life: Avery Point makes presence felt at Heart Walk

Through the combined efforts of more than 75 participants and donors, the University of Connecticut-Avery Point made its presence felt for the 2021 Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk. This year’s event was held at Rocky Neck State Park on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Avery Point students, faculty, staff, family and friends joined together to walk the course. In total, the campus’ efforts resulted in more than $4,000 donated to the American Heart Association. At the start of the event, Avery Point was the No. 1 “team” in the event, while it also ranked among the top five among all participating companies.
