Waterford veteran finds his gym in the great outdoors
East Lyme — For this combat veteran, it's not where you are, it's where you're at.
Calvin Reynoso of Waterford says fitness is part of his daily routine. He says he used to spend hours a day at the gym. Now, he just usually stops and does his workout out of his car or at home, whenever and wherever he can find the time, using the elements around him. On Tuesday, that was at McCook Point Park in Niantic.
He said he does his workout outside when possible.
"Fitness has helped me out a lot," he said, "it's almost more for my mind than my body, especially when I get out in the fresh air."
