On Friday, Dec. 10, the Gales Ferry Fire Co. hosted the reenlistment ceremony of Petty Officer First Class Zach Pennington. Pennington was accompanied by his wife Jayde, daughter Judy, and son Mason. He is originally from Whiteland, Indiana.
Presiding over the swearing-in was Lieutenant Commander Joshua Tine.
Pennington is presently stationed at the U.S. Submarine Base Groton, at the Naval Submarine Support Facility. He has served his country for almost 10 years as well as his community with the Gales Ferry Fire Company for four years.
