Carols brighten the evening in downtown Norwich
Norwich — Christmas carols rang out through downtown Norwich Thursday evening as members of the Norwich Arts Council held their annual carol stroll.
Led by Peter Leibert on a button accordion and Mike Lafleur on guitar, the group of nearly two dozen revelers started at Billy Wilson's Ageing Still on Broadway and sang their way along the streets of downtown, stopping at six more eateries over the next hour.
Patrons at each stop were serenaded by two or three traditional carols before the group moved on to the next stop.
Leibert said last year's stroll fell victim to foul weather, not the coronavirus pandemic.
At each stop, Leibert introduced the group and offered good wishes and blessings to the audience.
