New London residents Patricio Tejada-Diaz and his wife, Candida Diaz were celebrated recently for their three years of service as senior mentors in the Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters Foster Grandparent Program.

The honors were bestowed at the organization’s Annual Recognition Luncheon, held at the Pond House in West Hartford.

Patricio and Candida are stationed at New London’s Harbor Elementary School.

Joining them at the award ceremony was New London resident Rosalin Alcantara, center, Foster Grandparent Program Manager.
