The faculty of the Dance Extension has selected Hadley Huebner of Ledyard to receive its 2022 Dancer of the Year Award.

The award is sponsored by Maggie & Nancy Dennis, directors of The Dance Extension. Miss Huebner has been studying dance for eight years at The Dance Extension in New London and Waterford, where she currently attends ballet, pointe, tap, contemporary and jazz classes. She has been a class assistant in the studio’s Young Movers program for three years, working with preschool to grade school students.

Miss Huebner has performed for four seasons with the Community Dance Ensemble, a non-profit dance company under the direction of Maggie Dennis. The CDE gives concerts at nursing homes, senior centers and benefits throughout New England.

Miss Huebner is in eighth grade at Ledyard Middle School. She is the daughter of Gary and Heather Huebner of Leyard.
