Up to three 2022 Groton Rotary high school students from Robert E. Fitch High School, Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Technical High School, and the Marine Science Magnet High School are eligible for the $2,000 Groton Rotary scholar award.

The one-year scholar award is made for starting an education at an accredited college/university or post-secondary technical institute in 2022.

Selection is based on demonstrated scholastic achievements, school and work leadership performance, and community service, with consideration of need and educational ambitions.

Applications are obtained from high school guidance counselors or from the grotonrotary.org website. Completed applications must be submitted by Friday, April 22 via high school guidance office or mailed/delivered/emailed to the Groton Rotarian noted on the application form.

Groton Rotary also announced the opening of its TRCC scholar award.

The $1,000 scholar award will be made to a high school graduate living or working in Groton who attends Three Rivers Community College or will attend TRCC in summer or fall 2022.
