The Estuary thrift shop, previously at 220 Main St., is moving to a new home at 889 Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook.

The shop will continue to take donations at its old location on Mondays by appointment throughout February. In March, there will be a soft opening of the new location with the official grand opening in April.

The relocation of the thrift shop will open up space in the senior center for additional wellness programming. The Estuary Center and its programs and services will remain at the current 220 Main Street location.

The Estuary’s Thrift Shop is one of the organization’s largest fundraisers. Monies raised through the shop help fund the numerous services that The Estuary provides to older adults in the community – especially the Meals on Wheels program, which feeds homebound seniors throughout the region.
