    Coming this weekend

News: All police officers and first responders statewide are trained to ask 11 questions when responding to an incident where domestic violence is involved, where the potential for danger is high, or even when a gut feeling suggests it's needed. Business: Despite the millions of older workers who have fled the labor force in the past two years, few have signaled a permanent exit. Call it a pause. Call it a time out. Call it anything but retirement.

Daybreak: The inaugural semester of the Artflame Music Academy is being held in New London. The first class of six students was held in January and, when the course ends on March 31, it would be perfectly appropriate if the students exit the program to the strains of Kanye West's "Graduation Day."

Perspective: The list is growing longer of development projects proposed over the last couple of years that started out all bright and shiny, only to have their outlook quickly tarnished when subjected to public scrutiny and criticism.
