    Phyllis Ross(Photo submitted)

From society’s constrained roles for women in the 1940s to the disastrous coronavirus that attacked us in 2020, Phyllis Ross chronicles major events in the United States over an 80-year period in her newly released book, “Revolutions, Transformations and Tragedies through my eyes.”

Her book covers revolutionary African American and Feminist movements in the 20th and 21st centuries, sexual revolution in the 1960s, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the first man landing on the moon, impeachments of two presidents, and 9/11.

Ross illustrates how these events have influenced the U.S. and its people. She deals openly with her own prejudices and shortcomings, how she became the victim of sexual assault and what she did about it.

She proffers her beliefs and advice on what might be done to mend the U.S. and extols the value of public service.

Ross’s book may be ordered by emailing phylross21@gmail.com.
