New London Kiwanis Club offers applications for annual scholarship
New London — The Kiwanis Club of New London is accepting applications for the N.B. King Scholarships for graduating seniors from the region.
The scholarships are named after N. Blake King, a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club of New London and former New England District of Kiwanis governor. Up to three $3,000 scholarships are awarded to deserving seniors each year.
Applications are evaluated with consideration given to academic performance, extracurricular activities, community service and financial need. Graduating seniors at New London, Waterford, East Lyme, Lyme-Old Lyme, Fitch, Montville, St. Bernard’s, Ledyard, Marine Science Magnet, Norwich Tech and Grasso Tech high schools are encouraged to apply.
Applications are available at high school guidance or counseling offices, the Kiwanis Club of New London website at newlondonkiwanis.org or the club's Facebook page.
Fully completed applications must be received by April 30 at Kiwanis Club of New London, P.O. Box 333, New London, CT 06320.
