State Rep. Kevin Ryan, D-Montville, was endorsed unanimously Wednesday in a bid for his 16th term in the newly reconfigured 139th state House District.

Ryan, 69, thanked the delegates who nominated him and the eight who supported him during the brief district convention at Montville Town Hall.

“I’m looking forward to a good election,” Ryan said. “I appreciate the generous comments in the nominating speeches.”

Ryan said his forte as a legislator is constituent services. He said he continues to enjoy listening to people, “and that reflects how I vote on the issues.”

The reconfigured 139th House District covers part of Montville, part of Norwich and the Gales Ferry section of Ledyard.
